Ingredients

500g fresh shrimp, shelled and deveined(optional, tails on)

6 tablespoons ouzo

half a lemon lemon juice

4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

1 teaspoon lemon zest

1 medium sized red onionfinely chopped

1 red chili pepperfinely chopped

2 garlic clovesfinely chopped

ground black pepper

2 cups grated fresh tomatoes

3 tablespoons parsleyfinely chopped

2 teaspoons dried oregano

2/3 cup Greek feta cheesecrumbled

Instructions
- Place the cleaned shrimp in mixing bowl with the 3 tablespoons of ouzo and lemon juice and chill for up to 1 hour before use
- Heat the olive oil in a frying pan
- Sauté the onion and pepper, until wilted for approximately 8 minutes
- Add the garlic
- Add the shrimps. When shrimp turns pink, pour the remaining ouzo carefully.
- Add the tomato and sauce from the grated tomatoes and cook for a few minutes until firm, but ready to eat.
- Stir in the dried oregano, finely chopped chili pepper, parsley, lemon zest, salt and pepper
- Add crumbled feta cheese at the end. Enjoy!
Tips:
- Add 1/3 of crumbled feta in the end for serving.
- Finally, add on top finely chopped parsley and lemon zest
- To be served with long grain rice.
