Ingredients

Adjust Servings:
6 apples sliced and peeled
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons lemon juice
12 frozen berries
1 tablespoon water
Toppings
1 1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
1 cup gluten free flour
1 cup gluten free oats
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 190 degrees Celsius
  2. In a large bowl, stir together the thinly sliced apples, lemon juice, water and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  3. Scoop mixture into a 9×13 baking/casserole dish. Add the frozen berries over apples.
  4. Then, combine all the topping ingredients in a separate bowl (excluding the butter) and whisk together
  5. Cut the butter into small cubes and blend the butter into the bowl of topping ingredients and mix together until mixture is blended evenly and is crumbly.
  6. Bake for 45 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is crisp and browned.
  7. Serve warm with vanilla ice-cream or whipped cream.

Tips:

  • You could go without the berries and make it an apple crisp. 🙂
