Ivory – all day concept

Nicosia, Cyprus (Visit: 26th July 2020)
It was about time I explored the dishes at Ivory All Day Concept – This chic spot serves Mediterranean Middle-Eastern cuisine and from the moment you walk in you are immediately captured by the beautifully decorated interior design of the restaurant. I was quite impressed by the quality of the service and the options on the menu – offering beautiful salads, starters and a rich main menu exploding with the finest flavours.
We started our quiet Sunday evening with a couple of gin cocktails. I must say, I was really happy to see a beautiful wide selection of cocktails, particularly in relation to the G&Ts. The portions were generous and value-for-money. The bar crew have created some killer drinks that will stir up your evening with a selection of unique and classic cocktails. First, they brought us hummus on the house and we asked for a couple of starters – we opted for the beet & goat cheese salad and the seared tuna. I quite enjoyed both dishes equally and loved that none were over-powered by the light sauces pairing the dishes.

Seared tuna fillet – soy molasses, coriander seeds, sumac, coriander and lime zest
My fiance decided to have as his main dish, the rib eye steak (cooked medium-rare, as always. The grilled rib-eye steak tagliata was cooked beautifully – very tender and not overcooked.

served with roasted potatoes with herbs and a delicious pepper sauce.

Save the best for last!
This fish dish was superb – absolutely loved it!
This was the seared sea bass fillet with saute spinach, celeriac puree, lemon zest, vegetables cooked al dente, parsley oil and caviar champagne sauce!
What a delightful evening for 2 that was! My seared sea bream was so light and exploding with versatile flavours and textures I would highly recommend ordering it over and over again!
To conclude on a beautiful dinner date, the restaurant treated us to a lovely light and refreshing dessert. The lemon tart.

Lemon.
It wasn’t gluten-free but I didn’t mind as I was quite content with the full meal we had there, I wasn’t in the mood for dessert also. Can’t say the same for my man, though! haha he devoured this by the time you could say A B C!
Thank you Ivory once again for a beautiful evening. We will be back soon 😉
