Ithaki Garden
Larnaca, Cyprus (Visit: 5th July 2020)
Ithaki garden is a little gem in the heart of Larnaca. Amidst the construction going on in that particular area, there is a beautiful hidden garden. Ithaki garden!
So tranquil and peaceful – even the hosts/owners are super friendly and awesome to hang out with (and down a couple of drinks with hehe- you know who you are *wink*)! You get such a wonderful vibe from the area and you certainly feel at peace with all the vibrant flowers and green surrounding you.
fresh.
Something so simple as a village salad – I recommend ordering this as it’s so refreshing and light, it instantly introduces you to the Cypriot culture immediately with their local fresh products.
Greek village salad (with tomatoes, cucumber, onions, peppers, feta cheese, olives, Kalamata extra virgin olive oil, oregano)
As a warm starter our group of friends ordered the crispy feta cheese with honey & sesame seeds (loooked soooo yummy but unfortunately had gluten so couldn’t try). Do not despair though, ços there are soooo many dishes on the menu you can get even if you are lactose-free, gluten-free, vegetarian or pesketarian. Which is why I went for the delicious mushrooms. mmm..those mushrooms.
We all opted for different main dishes –
- grilled calamari of the day stuffed with cheese and peppers
- chicken with roasted potatoes
- beef in a juicy tomato sauce
I enjoyed every second of this place. ..
The hosts are so friendly and brought us delicious Greek wine and we chatted for ages.
I highly recommend this place:
- value for money,
- friendly hosts and, above all,
- excellent quality meals
I will definitely bring the fam’ here soon! xxx
