Who is Evyenia?
Alright, already…you asked for it so here it is peeps 😊
Hey guys – nice to mEAT you! I’m Evyenia. Born in London, raised in Cyprus (Nicosia to be precise) – a beautiful little island in the Mediterranean. I am the voice, author, cook and owner behind Exploring Flavours.
Some of you may know me initially as “evyeniakelly_x” or “glutenfreeevi” on Instagram but I felt that Exploring Flavours best suited my personality, character and relationship with food the most (‘cos Food and I go way back lol!) as my main aim is to continuously strive to explore meaningful, delicious and healthy flavours to enjoy and share with my family and friends.
My goal is to challenge myself and my readers to create simple, quick & easy yet delicious gluten free meals that anyone (and I mean, anyone and everyone!) can enjoy and easily prepare for themselves, regardless if they follow a gluten-free diet or not. I assure you – you will not find bland or boring recipes here. Why should we have to substitute flavour for going gluten-free, anyway?
This is one of the reasons why I wanted to share with you my journey of exploring flavours – because I believe that following a gluten-free diet should not have to mean automatically that we should sacrifice all the delicious flavours out there for a healthier meal. Other than the obvious, being a true foodie and an avid wino, I am here to guide you and inspire you for those moments when to experiment in the kitchen and when you are looking for awesome places to try out and eat your way around, whether that is in Cyprus or abroad!
